Hi @Anand36, I am sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

Do I understand you correctly in that this is specific to incoming calls, and that the ear speaker does not stop being audible when you make an outgoing call? If so, it does not seem hardware related, and I suggest that you try to see if it can be replicated while you have your device in safe mode.

Did you try to see what happens if you turn on the loud speaker, and then switch back to the ear speaker during an incoming call when the ear speaker stops being audible? If not, could you try that and let me know what the results are?

Please try the above if you have the opportunity to, and let me know how it went so we can look in to it together! Slightly_smiling_Face

Hi! I have the problem with outgoing and incoming calls, after some time (30 sec to 1-2 minutes) I can't hear anything, but in the other end the person can hear me. So the microphone is working, earphone stops. I've done tests, resettings  etc. and nothing helps. Tryed another sim card, problem continued. I just got my M5 replace with this phone  in August 2016 as it stopped working after system update to Anroid 6.0..and slowly this not funny anymore...It is annoying. Business calls are the main problem as when those are cut suddenly and I need to call back 2-3 times and excuse me. What shall I do?

I have the same issue. Phone works perfect except can not hear people, but they can hear me. Loud speaker works fine. Back in the day, the phone would be deemed as not working because they only did one thing, maybe 2. Voice conversations and texting came later. So, you know what Sony, concentrate on making the things that matter when in comes to a working phone, like being able to hear the person I'm speaking with. I've done all the resets, factory resets, safe mode, wasted maybe 24 hours of my life trying to get this to work. Im done with Sony products, I've been a loyal customer for 30 years and seen nothing buy quality decrease with price increase. After I return this paper weight, I'm giving away my ps3&4 and buying an xb1. Thanks for nothing. It seems, once you have the peoples money and they walk out of the store with the product, all hassles when it's time to get you money back or replace it. Thanks again for nothing!!

I am very sorry to hear about that, but have You had the chance to also try a software repair using Xperia Companion since a normal factory reset did not help? In that case I'm afraid that I would recommend having the device delivered to an authorized service center so that a technician may have a look at it. Slightly_frowning_Face

In order to have it sent in, I recommend getting in touch with Your Local support in order to be assisted as they are well informed regarding Your local service routines, consumer laws and warranty terms.

I have the same problem with outgoing and incoming calls, after some time, I can't hear anything, but in the other end the person can hear me. So the microphone is working. I think that is a comunication problem no a speaker. If I switch to the other handsfree speaker, I do not hear either. I have sent the phone four times to the technical support and still do not solve the problem. I'm desperate

Hi @dalepdale, I am so sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

Do you mean that you have had your device sent in to an authorized service center four times? Did they perform any form of repairs on any component, or did they return it without any repair done? If it still occurs after 4 service opportunities, have you made sure that it's not related to something else, such as your SIM or a third party app?

For example, try to see if a friend, colleague or family member may borrow you their SIM to see if the same occurs, and also try to see if it occurs while the device is in safe mode to see if it could be related to a third party app.

Let me know how it went! Slightly_smiling_Face

I've checked it. In fact i even changed my sim... And the problem still continues. My friends saying that this mobile phone has technical issues in its mother board (1 in 100 phones) has a same issue such as mine.. And I'm sick of explaining to service centre.. And anyway thank you for your concern

I have not heard of such technical behaviour, but it is still unfortunate to hear about what has happened. I am afraid that there is not much else that you may try as far as troubleshooting goes if you have tried software repairs, changed SIMs and safe mode. My recommendation now would be to get in touch with your Local support to see if there is some way to move forward with the case, for example by having the device sent to service.

This varies on a market to market basis as there are different consumer laws, so I am sorry that I may not assist you further on this Global support forum with such a procedure. Slightly_frowning_Face

I also experiences the same issue. It is really annoying. Calls are not dropped hence, the sony diagnostics will not report is as such but you end up pressing end call and dialling up again.
