We recently exprienced a loss of wifi to our home for 10+ days due to broken connection with the telephone exchange. Once this connection was repaired/replaced, I attempted to transfer my photos to my pc. and update my XA1 via the Xperia Companion Suite. At first the Suite would not recognise my mobile, but did after a few attempts (I can't remember the exact sequence of events). I then carried out an update - something I have done as a matter of routine for several years. - the process completely stripped all Contacts bar a handful from my phone and in addition some of my latest pictures/photos disappeared.
I obviously have previous updates filed on my pc and wonder if it is possible to find this lost information there. I have no idea how to go about this, the updates are just a string and do not seem to have a 'link' facility, plus at the moment, I can't remember where they are on the p.c. - I have a full life away from this computer and at 77yrs old, am not an IT geek, tho perhaps I should be.
Would appreciate any pointers, I'm at a total loss - and lost without my contacts. 😞
