Mobile Data doesn't switch on after using WiFi

Hi,

Can anyone please help me in resolving the issue with my Mobile data.

If I power On the phone and switch On mobile data: Works

If I use WiFi and then switch On mobile data: Doesn't work. It works after reboot.

This is drivign me crazy because every now and then, I would be forced to restart the phone which is not nice. Is there any Software update that could solve this or is it an issue with the phone?

Let me see if I understand,

if you have data on, it works fine

while the data is on > turn on wifi > wifi works ok

data on > wifi on > wifi off > data doesn't work? 

or is it 

data on > data off > wifi on > wifi off > data on? 

just a reminder, you don't have to disable data if you turn on wifi, it will switch to WiFi

Thanks for your response. Your 2nd statement is what I have.

data on > data off (works if after phone restart) > wifi on > wifi off > data on (doesn't work).

Surprisingly, after doing the above, if I change "Mobile network settings -> Preferred network type" from one to another, it seems to work fine. This is strange.

I have exactly the same problem. Provider has tried to troubleshoot the problem, repeatedly,  and have said it's a phone issue. I now have to take it to their warranty store. This should be fun.

Hi. I've got the same issue, I don't switch my data on or off I just leave it as it is but when the Wi-Fi is unavailable the data will not work. It will only work when I restart my device. Can you help me with this please? what is the issue how do you solve this problem?

Hello Walera58. Unfortunately I don't know how to turn my keyboard to the Russian letters but I could read in your language. Answer to the question is.. Swich your phone in to the plane mode and back. This resets whole connectivity and restore mobile internet . A whole process takes 5 seconds! Just make sure you have shortcut to plane mode in your notification bar on top of the screen.  This makes everything a lot faster.. 

Other solution is tot reboot your device (switch off and on) I hope it helps, best of luck Karol.
