sound goes off by itself

hello everyone. 

Since the software update, my ringtones goes off by itself. even when i try to turn it on, the little bar appear on my screen et the sound goes off. 

sorry for the english i m french.

First, try your phone in safe mode and see if it is the same. If it is, run a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Hi @Jorge93, welcome to the community.

Your issue is unrelated, but most of the time the issue you have described is caused by screen protectors and/or cases interfering with the Ear Proximity Sensor, which detects when your phone is against your ear and turns off the screen.

Can you please confirm if you have a screen protector or case on your phone, and if so, remove them and test it again?

You can also test the Ear Proximity Sensor in Settings > About Phone > Diagnostics > Test > Ear Proximity Sensor.

no i didn t and the phone was with my husband when it updated
