Volume buttons for media doesn't work

For some reasons, i can no longer control the volume using the volume up and down while playing media e.g. Spotify and with my earphones. Please help. Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear about the issue, are you able to use the volume buttons at all? 

Have you tested the device in safe mode ?
