WiFi connections constant issue with XA

Just got a new Sony Xperia XA but having big issues with connecting onto the WiFi in work. I can get connected intermittantly but more often than not it just fails with authentication issues (all passwords etc are correct as it does connect maybe 1 time out of 20) . I've tried in safe mode as suggested on other posts. The WiFi at home seems fine no issues there. If I cant get a solution to this then it's going back to Virgin Mobile. Running Android 6.0.1 & build number 33.2.a.3.81 kernel version 3.18.22+  .

Anyone got any ideas?????

It is not an issue with the WiFi. My Sony Xperia xa1 ultra does the same exact thing at various WiFi spots. All other devices work fine. Unfortunately Sony support has been dishonest and has a total lack of follow through during attempts to get this situation fixed.

Using since 2 months the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, have the same issue with the WIFI, it keeps dropping then sometimes able to connect again to the WIFI or in some cases getting authentic connection errors. This is horrible and absolutely unreliable for business use, so please fix it. Agree with some other user, that surely the Bluetooth function somehow is as well related to this problem, as it comes more often up once Bluetooth is activedet then it is switched off. Please look deeply into this issue with the WIFI because the modern life depend on WIFI today and like this the phone is just junk.

I've just moved from BT to EE. A perfect transition with excellent broadband all day. But I had to restart my Xperia this morning.

it's not a router problem. it's Xperia

That's an amazing reply.. blame it on the router.

It's very obvious from many other comments here that it's an Xperia problem.

That was a reply to early message from Sony support.

I've been 45 minutes battling with WiFi on a good public network... had to restart phone five times :((

Back home and needed onother restart.

My phone has become almost unusable.

It lasted a year until this problem emerged. Then I managed on a restart every day. Recently it went up to a few times every day and today I need at least one restart every time I change networks.

If I can't get it fixed its goodbye Sony.

It is without doubt a phone problem. I am the only one in my family who keeps having to restart and play with airplane mode. My three family members with their Galaxies connect seemlessly to different wifis as we change locations. Me? Nothing but authentication errors.

Does it behave the same way if you are in Safe mode? I have never had any problem with the wifi (since july last year).

I don't know what Safe Mode is but I may have a fix to post here later

In Safe Mode, phone only loads pre-installed apps. If in Safe Mode you don't have problems with wifi, it means that the problem comes from an app you have downloaded and installed. To boot into Safe Mode keep the power button pressed until a new window appears with the power off / restart / take screenshot options. Now hold on on power off option until new dialog regarding Safe Mode comes up. Click OK. It is worth a try.
