Hi, I left my Xperia XA fully charged at work and still plugged in to the charger. I won't be able to get to it until the morning which means it will have been connected for 18 hours, probably 16 hours on full charge. Will this do any damage to the battery, or even worse could it overheat and possibly cause a fire?
Thanks.
I leave my phone plugged in every night (for almost a year by now) for minimum 7 hours. In the morning, when I unplug it it's cold, and the charger is cold. Never had a problem. Nowadays, the phones are protected, meaning that when they are fully charged the charging cicle is stopped. So far, I haven't heard or read about Sony phones causing fires.
Thanks for the reply - that puts my mind at rest!
