Hi all
2 days back luckily i bought C6603 model here in Hyderabad, India. The main difference i found from C6602 model of my friend who took it 2 months back is :
** Camera App is opening faster than C6602
Please help me in the following things:
1. When micro SD card slot, charging slot, earphone slot is opened, the C6602 phone shows alert message to close them which is missing in C6603. How to activate those alerts ?
2. During charging the mobile orange indicator glows, but some times green light glows when it reaches above 80% charging. Why its happening so ?
3. How can i customize the call ringtone, notification ringtone ?
4. Can i delete default ringtones available on the phone or not. If they can be deleted, how ?
5. where can i find the Mobile Bravia Engine 2 app that differentiate and shows the videos/pictures with BE2 enabled and disabled side by side. Like in the Sony executives give demo.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You are exactly true GeoffH. It got reset to WCDMA/preferred GSM and i changed it to GSM. Now am getting Full signal.
But after changing when i enable Mobile Data its connecting only on EDGE. Prior it was changing with E, H and H+. Will this affect the browsing/download speed ?
This is most likely the carrier, when you are in a different location try adjusting the network settings and see how it responds, if signals are fine then get in touch with you carrier and ask them what is up with signals in that area
Here is one more doubt:
How to change the tone of ALARM ?
Can we delete default ringtones from the phone ?
For changing the alarm sound go to alarm&clock in the app drawer (the place where you see a ll your apps), Then click on add alarm after that you will be able to selct your desired sound
You cannot delete the default ringtones for that first you will have to root your device and then delete them via a file manager
Does rooting void warranty ?
Even changing to custom ringtone is also big process in Xperia Z. Seen in a youtube video
1. copy the ringtone file into a folder 'Ringtones'
2. copy the same ringtone file into 'Notifications' folder
and then it appears in ringtones list and from there need to change the ringtone. Why so much complication in selecting a ringtone.
Rooting a phone doesnt void your warranty but as of now there isn't a simple method available for rooting the new firmware
You have to only do that for custom ringtones not the default ones, it's the same with evry android phone
Not with all android phones i think.
i used samsung galaxy s2 earlier. In that i used to copy the custom ringtone file directly into ringtones folder and it appears on the screen
I think only samsung provides that
Anyways it's just one extra step
Imo just copy all the custom ringtones to the folders at once, not one by one
ok thanq arjun. Two more problems below:
1. I have installed SKYPE. then contacts started showing list of contacts of skype along with phone contacts.
In filter i have unchecked skype options and skype contact list is hidden except one contact id.
why it is not hiding only that one contact id of skype and when i try to delete it. it is not allowing me to delete it by giving an error message saying you can't delete this id.
2. i have got the contacts transferred from my old phone to xperia z using an app called Rainbow contacts. All contacts got copied but under contact properties - phone type - the contacts got stored as 'Other'. can i change the phone type to 'Mobile' all at once. Now am editing each contact and changing the phone type from Other to Mobile
