The whole thing froze, completely unresponsive

I was listening to the FM radio for the first time on my experia zl and the whole thing froze. It will not respond to anything,

I can hold the start button for 5 minutes with no response.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

I had a similar issue with my Xperia S, but it was only once, nothing worked, eventually an hour later it restarted itself, repaired the phone with SUS and that was the end of it, but that seems quite odd that nothing works

I was having trouble getting back on over the weekend, but thought you might like to know.

The phone died (ran out of power) at about 4:15pm that day. I recharged it, turned it on and everything is fine at the moment.

Went straight to backup and took care of that.

Not that it matters at this point, but the phone build is 10.1.A.1.395

Thanks again.

See my last post, by the time you offered these suggestions, it had run out of power. Problem solved for now.

OK, for everyone following this thread, Sony has replied directly to me about this problem.

For future reference...

They told me to open the back cover and access the OFF button to the left of the USB slot.

Didn't read anything anywhere about this and it took them to long to respond but this is good to know.

Cheers everyone.

what do you mean by "open the back cover and access the off button to the left of the USB slot"?

Inside the back cover at the bottom where you insert the sim and usb cards (whatever the correct term is), immediately to the left of the USB slot is a red button (looks like a dot) with the word OFF written just below it (you really have to look for it).

They told me to try that.
