I think that what's going on is that Sony obviously lacks the capacity to properly rollout new firmware. The discrepancies in firmware version availability are staggering!
I dont want to enrage us all any further but have you guys and girls seen that there is apparently another firmware update appearing to update the firmware of the 4.2 update that the majority of us still dont have never mind the 4.1 updates we never got either.
I have caved in. Selling up Xperia z while rate is decent. Do not like being lied to and especially when I'm ignored not only myself but all the other people here in same position.I said in an earlier post that I deviate between providers, products when messed about. I feel messed about and I'm bailing out. Good luck everyone. I sincerely hope you get what you want sooner rather than later if hanging on. However, the more people that vote out of this rubbish the more companies will take notice that perhaps, you know what when those people were clearly stating they were hacked off perhaps we should have listened because now they all are with other providers
Whilst I won't be selling up anytime soon, phone is good enough on 4.1 and I have no issues with the OS but having had a Play and got no updates and now this lack of clarity from Sony on my unbranded UK Z I certainy won't pick up another phone or tablet from Sony, which is a shame as Tablet Z was top of the shopping list when my daughter starts school again in Sept, but seeing as how they also stopped supporting Tablet S Sony can forget it until the send out a clear message on device support.
After Xperia Play I decided to give a chance to SONY, but after that what is happening with the updates of XPERIA Z I promised to myself that XZ is my last phone from SONY.
Followed part A of the guide and changed the number to Generic Spain 1270-6697,when i tap to reboot at the very end it hangs then it goes back to the build prop editor and everything reverts back to the 434 version. Am i doing something wrong?
Still no update Sony you suck never again will you get a single penny of my money. Why don't the moderators pass on to Sony all the bad press and negativity they are getting here it may speed things up for us. Guess they just want an easy life!
Sony blantantly mis-sold this phone; it was launched in March on the basis that 4.2 would be made available soon after launch and relying on that I purchased the phone. Instead Sony only offer firmware support for unbranded phones in the UK for 1 month after the lauch. If you are UK based complain to the Advestising Standards Authority; the link is here and it is very straight forward.
