Could somebody from Sony please explain why thousands of us are now 3 updates behind now regarding firmware updates?

I CANT UNDERSTAND SONY ONE LITTLE BIT!!!
Today my wifes old Samsung Google nexus gets 4.3 bang just like that!!!
Then her Samsung tablet 3 gets it all in the space of 2 hours!!!!!
And what do us loyal zedrs get NOTHING! '!'
Sony I tell you this and im not exaggerating
When I say this but im sure im not the only one to say this _________ I WILLL NEVER BUY SONY AGAIN..
I mean any Sony product Not just phones.
You have proved what a shambolic disgrace of a company you really are.
Your tottal lack of customer care is astounding and im confident you will lose many many customersand in your present financial difficulties thats a foot loose atitude and ballsy.

I feel there are far too many that feel the same. Its only a few thousand folk who could have been placated with proper response of some kind. Perhaps we expected too much from a multinational.
I posted on here a week or so ago to say I was bailing out and I have, but I haven't forgotten about this and check back on it to see what's up. After seeing this saga is still going on I have sent this thread link off to engadget in the hope they pick up on it. Maybe some major tech site can get the wheels in motion - or at least an informed response from Sony if it hits the news feeds on engadget.
After all this a flagship device with a distinct lack of flagship support.
I am sorry guys as i have to some degree posted a similar comment before but i feel in my anger i must again.
It is not just UNBRANDED handsets that are behind in UPDATES it is also those on the EE(ORANGE/TMOBILE) Contracts alongside the MVNO such as VIRGIN MOBILE UK (which i am on) that have not had any updates since the very first one back a while.
So please stop bleating that you are hard done by because you have not signed a contract - i have and i have therefore paid just as much if not more for my phone than you.
I am also just as agreived to the lack of support and once i can financially do so i will be going back to NOKIA and yes WINDOWS Phone 8 which is so much better.
With Nokia as many others when they release updates you know when you will get them and they arrive. NO B@@@S@@T.
The constant MERRY GO ROUND of Blame from Google to Sony to Network Provider is dizzying.
BLACKBERRY HAVE ALL BUT GONE BUST BECAUSE OF POOR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK AND COMMUNICATION - SO SONY TAKE HEED. or probably not because you obviously do not read the forum otherwise by now you might have considered doing something about a very important market in your business.
EE, Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile are all selling unbranded phones (Generic UK). Check your customization number and/or SI number and look it up in this list: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287283

That is why i posted my comment as some (not all) Unbranded phone users suggest its because they bought the phone SIM Free so to speak that they are being discrimminated against when clearly there is a large customer base of Unbranded Phones both Contract and Sim Free that have yet to recieve any of the numerous updates.
And as my post comments on is it SONY or EE (and its variants) that are to blame and the answer is never very clear. They seem to all blame one another.
If EE (and its variants) have approved the updates then why have Sony not pushed them out and vice versa if EE have not approved them then Why have they not approved them ??
I'm pretty sure that your phone is still unbranded, I bought mine from virgin media and it is indeed an unbranded phone,

this breaks down all the different versions, uk has 3, generic, O2 pay monthly and vodafone, I assume everything else just falls under the generic unbranded version,
i'm also still waiting on the 4.2.2 update as i've also got an unbranded xperia z that i got from my o2 upgrade from phones 4 u and if i knew it was gonna be such a p*** take then i would of got my z direct from o2 themselfs and not go down the unbranded route also what i find so annoying is that since i've had my ps3 its had more updates then my xperia z and i think sony mobile needs to learn from they're games department and if we do fall 4 updates behind then i'll be dumping my xperia z for a lg nexus phone from o2 refresh
So I spoke to customer service today, they assured me that there was a WW role out of new software today, confirmed by Xperiablog.net. I have plugged into PC companion and still not yet. Call me cynically but I think there is a serious problem relating to the serial numbers of our devices. Its like they do not exsist or something!
Do you think I can get a refund for this device? Does anybody know what are my consumer rights?
