Unable to read memory card after upgrading firmware a230

I upgraded firmware from 1.0 to 1.10 on my a230 exactly as instructions, now the camera will not read any SD memory card. I have tried several cards. SD cards I have use previously in this camera, as well as new cards.

I cannot format SD card in camera as screen locks whilst displaying ' Unable to use SD memory card' message.

Can I revert to earlier firmware that worked?

I currently hold Sony responsible for this situation as issuing software that is not fit for purpose.

Can you please factory reset the camera and see if it solves the issue?

If it doesn't please get in touch with Sony support.

Try formatting the SD card using a computer to NTFS or even FAT32

Thanks for reply, but as stated in my original post the camera will not recognise ANY SD card placed into slot

• Cards that have been used in this camera for the last 10 years or so
• Cards that are less than three months old
• Cards that are formatted via PC
• Cards that are formatted in other device.

All was fine until I upgraded firmware. Sony want me to send video of card being placed into slot as they clearly do not believe that I am capable of:

1. correctly placing SD card in slot
2. correctly reporting error message on camera screen
