Phone says its charging light on and battery on phone saying charging but it stays the same charge

Is there any change if you turn the device off and charge it for a few hours? If you are using a USB port to charge the device, you can also try using the wall mounted charger that was included together with your device.

Av tryed force reset and turned it off charge it and everything then found out that if i move my charger to the left wen plugged in it charges properly so the port is on its way out this second time had a problem with the port and sorry to say had to order a new phone but not a sony xperia l2 a diffrent brand 😔 phone just a year old.

Depending on where you are situated, the warranty can be 12 months or 24 months, so if you are located in a country where the warranty is 24 months, the device should still be in warranty.
I can see that you have already purchased a new device, but I would still recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team, so they can inform you of how long the warranty is valid and if the device is still in warranty, assist you with creating a repair order. A backup device is always good to have, or if you want to give it away or similar, just so it doesn't collect dust in a drawer when there is still warranty!
