what is the difference between build number 4.0.1.A.0.283 versus 4.0.2.A.0.42? both are android version 2.3.4

i flashed mine coz i like the features of 2.3.4 and the build number is  4.0.1.A.0.28.

can anyone tell me if for example i wanted to repair my phone and get the official update of 2.3.4 is it more stable OS compared the OS version that i used to flash a month ago...? does the build number means something like more stable-4.0.2.A.0.42?

Hi guys,

another way how to easily debrand your phone and get the most up-to-date firmware version into it:

  http://www.wotanserver.com/en/sony-ericsson/se/xperia-neo-mt15/debranding-flash

Currently they provide for free, so it is interesting to me:). I am just updating mine these seconds. So, keep your fingers crossed:smileyhappy:

I did noticed few extra apps like macaffee and the data traffic widget it's gone (to tell you how much data has been used) it all can be installed but I don't see any huge improvements or differences between the firmwares

Guys,

I can confirm that their service works at this moment totally for free, exactly as they claim there on their website. I have just finished debranding my Neo to generic Central Europian version of 4.0.2.A.0.42 (2.3.4) and I will never go back to my Slovak network providers version again (T-Mobile), as their Android updates always take ages. It was similar also with my old X10 mini.

you can use Flashtool and flash any other firmware

I see. Actually, first I tried Flashtool based on your recommendations, but repeatedly encountered problems with extracting of RAR file with firmware 4.0.2.A.0.42. Then I tried to google for another source of that file with firmware, assuming that the former one might be broken. While googling, www.wotanserver.com appeared and it went really flawlessly. It did what it promised. Their app auto-detected the phone model, gave me opportunity to choose language for phone, offered me the option to select from variety of Andriod kits for my phone, recommending the "generic" ones. After that the process continued automatically  again - without any need of searching, downloading of firmware file separately, putting it into folders, etc.

Much more comfortage and without any bugs during the process. Therefore I want to share with you guys. I hope some of you might use.

Thanx for the info Slightly_smiling_Face I'll try to add that to my other threads
