Should i be worried, apparently complaints are comming in already for this new tv on dark verticle lines either side of the screen!, i have seen this before on the LG i had that went back for a full refund as it was the area where the ribbon cable joins at the screen for the backlight (could be seen from the front) i had 3 of them and the engineer said its not right, heres the pics of the Sony.

this was originally posted on another forum and the poster stated that this is reported by german customers and uk ones, however i have been waiting months for my pre order and dont have it yet!!

Hey Lee, my new Tv is scheduled to be delivered on Friday from the Sony online shop, do you know if these are the fixed batch ?
Bravia55HX923 - there has not been a response from Sony as to the cause and it had gone quiet since Friday. The website now has the set for sale but no response here. I want to make sure that I will get a set that is crease free. I've already had one replacement so far from "quality checked" stock and it had the same issue. It's not expecting that much for an update on the Sony forum as to what the situation is.

Have i not already said, its down to the Adhesive curing process on an early batch, i have also said that i do not believe Sony would continue to distribute faulty sets to dealers, i have also said that a certain amount of patience is needed as these things take time, StartTheCar has also said he will have something for us by the end of the week, (if not sooner).

Hmmm - and if you would like to disclose where this info is from that would be lovely - Trust is earnt and not a given. Ease up on the patronsing comments as there is a lot of conflicting information which you don't seem to appreciate. One contributer here mentioned an email response from Sony which essentially said, 'No Fault Found on any of the returned stock'', (and that was actually after Lee had contributed to the thread), and then 2nd hand information from AVS Forums saying had a call from an engineer etc etc, factor in to that all the eroneous information from certain dealers, (mine not included). So to take your comments as gospel, forgive me, but I think it only reasonable to expect official confirmation that the fault is found, that crease free sets are on the way.
So it may be black and white to you but to a lot of us cynics out here it is far from that. Unless of course you wish to disclose your sources?
So go easy on those of us who are rather frustrated by this protracted silence.

I have just had a call from Sony Manchester to say that my HX923 55 inch is now in at the shop It is from a New batch. I just hope this is a crease free unit with it being from the New Batch. I will let you know when it arrives! hopefully Next Saturday.

i do not set out on here to provide misinformation or delude any further people who are already worried about this situation (myself included) and as you point out trust is earnt, its also frustrating that some are so impatient, i have said that StartTheCar will provide the explanation soon, these guys dont sit on their todd all day doing nothing, theres the normal day to day running that has to be done also, but i'll stick with what i said about the fault, that im sure of.
