Hello!

I've noticed the battery does not last as it used to do before the update.

Does anyone feel the same?

Absolutely killed my battery life and the phone runs hot now whole doing basic things.  It seems to die quickly when not in use . Not a happy customer here.  Hope they fix this quick.

Folks, for slow charging issue visit this thread, there is solution with explanation

/t5/Xperia-XA1-Plus/XA1-Plus-charging-slow-and-discharges-quick-after-oreo-update/td-p/1324661/jump-...

For low battery backup issue,it is usually recommended to reset your device by every manufacturer after a major android version.xa1 plus jumped from 7.1nougat to 8.0 oreo. This is done because system cache files from previous version still remains in phone and causes conflicts with new version files resulting in unexpected issues.

Try resetting your phone once and then turn off battery care option and examine your device charging and discharging speed.

It will surely change

I'm also facing the same issue with the battery drain after the update which is quite odd. To my knowledge, this was not a major update therefore there should be no need for a factory reset. Regardless, if anyone has tried a reset or has any other solutions to this problem, I would be happy to hear them. Otherwise, I hope Sony fixes the issue.

I'm also a  xa1plus user like you,I resetted my device after installing Oreo update.

With latest update all my previously mentioned issues got fixed and battery backup also slightly increased.

At least for me it is working perfectly,so I can't tell about your devices.

I tried my level best to help you friends.Good luck

This update seem okay on the first few days now "process system ins't responding" error message is coming back to screen. And lot of apps are lagging specially Facebook.

I really believe I have made a wrong decision buying this device.

Me also facing same battery drain issue comparing to previous update. and i have one doubt regarding first charge, shall i charge up to 100% is must? because i have charged up to 92% only and it takes 3.5 hrs (because my mobile came with 0% charging). due to this any battery endurance capacity dicreased? my mobile is just 2 weeks old only. as per GSM arena endurance rating (102h) means 15.5 hrs web browsing time. but i got 10 hrs only by wifi with single si and 2g setting, low brightness.is any battery issue? can i replace new battery? i have dissaponted with battery backup.

Thank you.

You don't require your battery to charge it to 100percent.Those methods are required for old acid batteries.todays mobile batteries are of latest technology and already precharged.Your battery is 100% OK.

For fastcharging do this settings>battery>battery care>turn off>done.your phone will charge at maximum speed available
