The latest update has big improvements and fixes the bugs occurred from oreo update,

Fixes done!

Fixed "process system not responding"

Fixed"wallpaper becoming disoriented on homescreen"

Minor Battery backup improvement

Fixed"camera with flash resulting in bluish tint photos"

Camera app version has been updated and noise reduction has been little regressed for preserving image low light details.

Its a big performance update with bug fixes in my opinion and phone is also now as perfect as was in nougat version.

For all battery, system etc issues, people software reset your phone.

I'm telling thisbcoz first oreoupdate wasbuggy for xa1plus.it was later fixed by latest update but still u all people who didn't reset facing issues bcoz  nougat version cache is still remaining in your phone and getting conflicted with Oreo cache.

Only solution for you is reset.if u go service centre for above problems they will also reset your device and give you back.

You don't have any other choice,so take a backup of your files in pc and reset and then check.

If what you say is true, that the Nougat cache is interfering with Oreo; then, we should reset the cache partition. Furthermore, a factory reset is a bigger and unnecessary step to take if it truly is the cache.

Even after updating to this version I am still facing the process not responding bug!

So, It is definately not fixed!

Sony needs to fix this ASAP.

Settings>apps>apps info>click-on-3dotmenu>show system apps>find&open app named "system ui ">tap on storage>clear cache>done.

Do the same for app named "android system" and check if issue still persists

It seems like everyone has been having problems after the update. 

I believe the best solution is to do a software repair using Xperia Companion on your computer. Make sure you have updated to the latest version of Oreo first and do a backup of all your stuff. 

If you want your phone to be usable again, it is worth the trouble. 

I have the latest Oreo version, then did the software repair, and have none of these issues.

Folks,Try this as final resort                         Do this, go to

Settings>apps>apps info>click-on-3dotmenu in right top>show system apps>find&open app named "system ui ">tap on storage>clear cache>done.

Do the same for app named "android system" and "xperia home".check if issue still persists.

I'm also a xa1plus user and this worked for me previously.
