After Android 4.1 google already add full support for both Android and Gmail contact server to make user possible to use and sync high-res photo in phone contact.
But there is something wrong in Xperia Z. After I set a high-res contact photo, it sync to the Gmail contact. Next time I flash the phone or do a factory reset, phone sync down the contact list from Gmail server, but the contact photo fall into low-res as 96x96. This only happens on Xperia Z. I tried other 4.1 device (SAMSUNG S3), it sync down the high-res photo, so it's not a problem from Google's server, but a problem in Xperia Z, it do not support downloading the high-res one when syncing.
Do anyone have a solution?
