WiFi connections constant issue with XA

Just got a new Sony Xperia XA but having big issues with connecting onto the WiFi in work. I can get connected intermittantly but more often than not it just fails with authentication issues (all passwords etc are correct as it does connect maybe 1 time out of 20) . I've tried in safe mode as suggested on other posts. The WiFi at home seems fine no issues there. If I cant get a solution to this then it's going back to Virgin Mobile. Running Android 6.0.1 & build number 33.2.a.3.81 kernel version 3.18.22+  .

Anyone got any ideas?????

I agree with this and I now only turn BT when I actually need it, such as syncing my Fitbit or connecting my phone to my car.  All other times it remains off, and I no longer have issues with wifi.  It's not an ideal fix, but a fix nonetheless.  Unless Sony come up with a fix in the form of an OS update, this is the only way to go.

My other half has the same issue with the WiFi, only way to get it working is to reboot the phone, then it connects straight away.

This issue is on any network, she has the same issue at work, at home I even created a guest WiFi on more basic settings which made no difference.

I have no issues with any other devices on the WiFi, Sony Xperia Xz premium, basic kids tablet, Samsung Tablet, Dell laptops, even the HP WiFi printer doesn't have issues just the XA!

None of my friends have issues with their phones on my WiFi, just this phone.

I'm gonna try the blutooth off fix and see if that works but it's not really a fix though is it

Do Sony techs ever come on these forums to fix problems ?

I lived with this problem for two years . No activities from Sony to fix it or even acknowledge it exists.

Have moved to another phone

My take on this is that there are clearly a lot of people suffering from the same issue ( myself included), and people should NOT be having to change this setting, change that setting, contact your router provider, go to a static IP......

It is abundently clear that there is a flaw in the wifi of certain Sony phones.

Now, in my mind, smart phones are a fundamental way of life on the whole, so the internet connection needs to be rock solid, and also the software that makes this so.

Sony have failed miserably in their efforts (lack of?) to acknowledge and fix this problem, and so this makes their product not fit for purpose.

If they cannot offer a product that gives what every other device gives seamlessly, across many manufacturers, then they do not deserve to be considered manufacturers of reliable devices worth having.

Spread the word across social media, it may have the desired effect....

I am also having the same problem as described above. I just turn off Bluetooth and live with a "semi" - smartphone. I am replacing it next week.
